Alice hugged sabreen so tight after tony had explained what happened. She was in tears.
“I’m so sorry breeni.. I’m so sorry that this had to happen to you.”Alice whispered through sobs into her sisters ears.
Alice thought about sabreen everyday. She worried sick about her. But never did she ever imagine that it would get this far. Today she had lost all respect for her father. She was utterly disgusted.
Sabreen hadn’t spoken much uptil now. She was lost in her own world. Afraid. Lonely. Hurt. Abused. Emotionally finished and physically drained.
“But what now from here?” Tony asked whilst scratching his head
“I think its been abit much for today tony. Let’s get some sleep and when our minds are a lot clearer tomorrow, we can decide what to do” alice suggested wisely. She looked at sabreen and moved a strand of hair out of her eyes. “You’ll feel better tomorrow okay? You’re safe now! Let’s go sleep!”
They all agreed and retired to bed. Sabreen slept with alice in her room. She tossed and turned for most of the night while alice was snoring away. She was so afraid.
Sabreen was drifting off to sleep sometime in the early part of the morning and heard a loud bang and jolted up..
She tried to ask who was there, but her voice failed her once again.
She tried for a second time, but nothing came out.
And before she could try for a third time, there he stood right infront of her. Eyes blood red and anger etched all over his wrinkled face. He had something in his hand that was shining but sabreen couldn’t make out what it was. It just glinted behind him in the dark.
“She thought she was one more clever than us hey sam? That we’ll never find her?” Beth said whilst looking directly at sabreen and began to laugh crazily.
“Oh but we did….” Sam said in an evil tone. ” And this time she’s going to pay for breaking all the major rules of our house….”
Beth pulled hard onto sabreens long black hair… “Ungrateful little street girl….. Is this the gratitude you give to your parents who put a roof over your head and food on your table every day?”
She let go of sabreens hair but came at her and slapped her so hard across her face that she fell flat on the bed..
Alice? Alice? Where was alice? Or tony? Why aren’t they here to save me or help me? Sabreen thought
“Oh there’s no-one to save you this time you little twit…” Sam spat at her almost as if though he could read her thoughts. “There’s no brave tony or alice anymore. They’ve gone. Left you… And they’ll never come back to get you….”
No…. No! What did they do to alice and tony? I hope they didn’t hurt them. It would be all my fault if they hurt them. They were only trying to help me and now I’ve gotten them into trouble. Sabreen thought to herself
Sam was coming closer now. He brought the silver glint right infront of sabreens face. Now she could see it clearly. It was the brown knife that she usually used to cut the turkey on thanks giving. It was sharp and it was the only knife that could cut through the tough duck. She had gotten a slight slit once and it throbbed for a whole week after. What was sam doing with the turkey knife here?
“I’m not going to kill you… Don’t be afraid.. I’m just going to punish you a little for being such a bad girl to your daddy.” Sam said as he swiped the side of the knife across her bare chest.
When had they taken off her clothes? Where is her pyjama top? She was so embarrassed. How could she not have on any clothes.
Sam began poking the sharp point of the knife on sabreens chest…. Her hands were being held by beth behind her back.
“Oww….” Sabreen screamed.
And with every scream he poked harder into her chest…
“Owwwwww…. Please stop…. I’m sorry… I’m really sorry.. I’ll be good… Please stop!”
Here’s your extra post as promised. Now I just owe you all one more. Will see when I can manage to write it… jx for all your patience
